Hillside Ave.

A Victorian set on spacious grounds had a small dark kitchen tucked away in the back with no relationship to the sizable yard and had no direct sunlight.  The old second floor layout was problematic in that the family bath could be accessed only by going though one of the bedrooms. A two-story addition solved that problem with two new bedrooms and a shared bathroom and balcony on the second floor and a new family room and breakfast area on the first.  At the same time, a new kitchen was created, central to both the old and new wings, which is filled with light and views and open to a new breakfast area and family room.  A second floor light and airy meditation room was also created.
